(More customer reviews)I am sure the dress itself is lovely, but do NOT purchase it from Discount Dance Supply. My husband and I wanted to get this as a present for my daughter for Christmas, so we purchased it on December 15th. Our credit card was not touched for days, which made us a little nervous (to say the least) because Christmas was drawing closer and this was supposed to be one of the gifts for under the tree. We contacted the company through the Amazon website and got a response back that they needed a confirmation number other than the Amazon one we had supplied. I was very confused to say the least. I wrote back stating that was the only number I had in regards to the transaction, as it had been made through Amazon. This was late on the 18th when I got the response, so I schlepped out to a dance store in town and got a replacement, because at this point, I just did not feel okay about the purchase arriving on time for Christmas. I sent them a response making it clear that I was canceling the purchase as it was too late in the game; I received a response back stating that the package had already been sent (mind you, I received no email verification of this), but it would be intercepted in the mail and my money would be refunded. Okay, fair enough. I found the package sitting on my doorstep on the 21st or 22nd, and because I was not home to refuse the package, I had to take it to FedEx and send it back myself.
Hilariously enough, Amazon sent me an email on the 22nd stating that they could not confirm my purchase as they had received no notification from the seller (Discount Dance Supply). What I took from this episode is that this company may not have the ability to perform within Amazon's guidelines and should probably be avoided if you want something specific. To be fair to Discount Dance supply, I have ordered dance gear for myself from their website in the past and had no problems; however, this entire episode was a mess and made me suspect they do not have the support staff to deal with orders coming from Amazon in addition to their own website.
