(More customer reviews)I ordered this for an 80's function and since it said mens/womens, I assumed it would be at least as long as in the photo. I am about a size 6 (and tiny up top) and this was definitely not fitting a man over 140 unless it was skin tight and ending at his belly button.
Since I expected it to be long and loose as in the photo, I got a wide, stretchy black belt to put around it. With the belt, I would say it came to my hip bones but I also was able to stretch out the neck so I could wear it off the shoulder (doesn't come like that). Just be careful if you try to stretch it, it's not really stretchy material.
It worked perfectly for me but just know it's not big, not loose and if you are any larger than a woman's size 8, I would get something different instead.
